Exchangesss

 Yall this week was so long I'm not gonna lie. On Tuesday we had zone conference and when I walk in theres a little schedule, I WAS ASSIGNED TO DO SOMETHING AND WAS NEVER INFORMED! It's alright tho it all worked out in the end(kinda I think I did my job horribly lol)

Wednesday we prerry much just knocked doors all day long. It sucked and our member meal was the most awkward thing of my life. Like literally the first 30 minutes the family wouldn't even acknowledge our existence. It was the longest hour ever. Anyways then we headed to my STLs apartment and did exchanges!

EXCHANGES WERE LEGIT THE HIGHLIGHT OF THE MISH SO FAR! I got to go with sister McAllister and we were in the YSA, so we got to spend some time on USC campus. Usually it's a blast there she said but bc of Thanksgiving break it was emptyyyyyy. But we worked so hard and I got to meet some of the most AMAZING CONVERTS! This one guy named Brayden legit seemed like he had been a member his whole life, he just got to go to the temple this week and he just couldn't stop smiling and told us we wanted to tell everyone how amazing it is, he's adorable! 

Friday I was back in summit west and can you guess what we did? Yep more knocking butttttt WE ALSO FINALLY GOT BEDS! As happy as I am to have them to sleep. Dragging then up to the third floor was miserable. 

Saturday we had more knocking but we had some lessons too so that was amazing. We taught our friend Steven who literally has my heart. He makes and sells candles and while we were there he was burning this fruity pebbles one and it was divine, so of course after lesson I bought one from him. 

Sunday was the weirdest day but we had a cute elderly guy in our ward call us and ask us to come over and he just talked and gave us treats. Shout out brother Elkins, he's the best. 

It's been a crazy week and literally everything is blurring together it's wild did!

Bothering people in parking lots and looking stupid

Ya'll this week was pretty boring. 

Me and my comp are opening an area, and you'd think they would have us open an area bc there's so much work to be done, nope not at all. We have had maybe three lessons this week. It sucks. We've been doing tons
of finding, knocking houses, bothering ppl in parking lots and basically just looking stupid. Anddddd everyone hates us. But it's cool. 

Anywayssss last Monday we had district pday which was FIRE! We went to the church and played pickleball and basketball. I'm proud to say I WORKED the Elders in basketball. But I also realized that I am out of shape. But we got ice cream after so that was great. 

The rest the week was lots of knocking and many doors slammed in our faces and few successes. We had only lady seem super interested, she took our pamphlet and asked where the church was and told us to come back, we went back, haven't seen her since. So that was disappointing. Another guy is super interested but he's moving, but luckily he'll be in our area just says he's to busy to talk until after the move. But he already knows a lot bc he's been studying the church and really wants to hear from us. 

AND OUR FRIEND COOKIE IS DOING AMAZING! She came to church for the last two weeks and stayed for second hour! Her testimony is so strong we just gotta get her married and baptized haha. 

Another super sweet woman was being taught earlier this year but stopped bc she got cancer and lost a son. She just needed time, we knocked her door the other day and she just started crying it was so precious. She said she's ready to come back and asked us to pray with her. Shes adorable and we're excited about her. 

Also on a sad note I wore a freaking adorable sweater into a recent converts house, and her the rest of her family are HEAVY smokers. Well my sweater absorbed basically all the smoke in that room so let's hope a few washes gets it out.

Also we for Texas roadhouse which was bomb and a member made us Cafe Rio and it was also bomb. 

Andddd today we had nerf wars for district p day, we played infection and I was last and it was so scary with the whole district just running at me!

I'm In South Carolina!

 What's up yall!

This week has been absolutely crazy. But most important I achieved my goal and beat Elder Dyer in foosball! Anyways on Monday and Tuesday we had to way goodbye to the MTC district which was depressing but it's fine. And Tuesday night Elder Gary E Stevenson gave an AMAZING devotional! He talked about the importance of missionary work and that'll it'll be hard but we can do it! 

Wednesday was travel dayyy! It tucked we were up at 3 to get to the airport and then I barely slept on the plane. We flew to Atlanta and had a 2-3 hour layover there. And just from being there southerners and the most amazing and sweetest people ever! Except the few people who gave me dirty looks because of the tag but it's alright. We then flew to Columbia!!!!! When we got there the mission president, his wife the the APs were there to pick us up. They are all so sweet but the second we stepped out of that airport I thought I was gonna drown in the humidity! It was INSANE! Its gotten better tho because it was raining when they picked us up and it hasn't rlly rained since. And by raining I mean POURING! They took us back to the mission home where we had dinner and did some training (and dont you love getting paired up with the APs to do role plays, it was terrifying) We then spent the night and went to transfers the next day!

So my trainer is Sister Lecheminant and I still struggle to say it sometimes haha. And it's crazy bc we're opening an area and she's only been out 5 months so we're kinda lost but figuring it out together haha. It's been hard tho because we have 4 total people in our area to teach, so there's a lot of knocking and hardly any teaching. I've literally only taught one lesson. 

So yeah it's been crazy trying to build up the area but one of our friends and her kids are AMAZING! We had dinner and a lesson with them at a members house on Sunday, AND SHES SO READY TO BE BAPTIZED! She knows it's true but she's living with her fiancee soooo that's kinda hard but we'll get her there. 

Another friend has been wanting to get baptized since 2018! But he's been in a situation that he's been trying to get out of that's stopping him from being allowed. It made me so sad because his testimony is insanely strong but he's got some stuff he's gotta get out of. 

Anyways it's been a crazy week! Its been really hard at times but it also been amazing and I'm excited to keep serving the people of SC!

Last Week in MTC

Hey yall! 

This week absolutely flewww by! On Tuesday we had a devotional by Elder David L Buckner of the 70 and it was so good! And I know none of yall are gonna believe this but I was apart of the MTC choir. I know it's shocking I still can't believe it. But definitely not doing it this week so everything back to normal it's okay. 

And this week was HALLOWEEN! We didn't do a thing haha. It was actually really sad but it's fine haha. We had a birthday party for an elder in our district so it made up for it. 

We also had the opportunity go do sealings at the Payson Temple on Friday and it was so cool! The spirit was so strong and you could feel the people there getting sealed! On Saturday we had tons of free time so we hung out and played foosball (idk how to spell it) and now my goal is to beat elder Dyer before we leave. 

And again Sunday was the most amazing and spiritual day ever! Fast and testimony meeting was so cool, and there wasn't even a moment of silence bc so many missionaries were sharing their testimonies!

Its crazy I leave for South Carolina ON WEDNESDAY! I am so unbelievably excited to serve the people of South Carolina but I'm also so sad to be leaving my district and the MTC. My district is my literal family and I couldn't have done the MTC without them. They are all so amazing and are gonna be killer missionaries! District 23-C is the best district provo MTC has ever seen.
